Position Description: Provides Operational Contract Support (OCS) expertise to ARCENT planners, logisticians, and operational staffs. Assists with integrating contracted capabilities into military operations, contingency plans, exercises, and theater sustainment activities. Reviews operational requirements to identify opportunities for contracted support and develops contractor management plans, support integration strategies, and OCS annexes. Coordinates with contracting officers, requiring activities, sustainment organizations, and supported commands to ensure effective incorporation of contractor capabilities into operational environments. Advises leadership on OCS doctrine, policies, procedures, and contractor accountability requirements throughout the CENTCOM AOR.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

The Operational Contract Support (OCS) Specialist shall:

  • Provide Operational Contract Support expertise to ARCENT planners, logisticians, and operational staffs.
  • Integrate contracted capabilities into operational plans, contingencies, exercises, deployments, and theater sustainment operations.
  • Analyze operational requirements and identify opportunities for contracted support solutions.
  • Develop OCS plans, contractor management plans, support integration strategies, and OCS annexes for operational orders and plans.
  • Advise leadership on OCS doctrine, policies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with contracting officers, requiring activities, sustainment organizations, and supported commands to align contractor support with mission requirements.
  • Monitor contractor support requirements, capabilities, and performance within operational environments.
  • Assist in managing contractor accountability, visibility, and compliance during deployed and contingency operations.
  • Support operational planning teams, logistics synchronization meetings, exercises, and working groups.
  • Assess risks associated with contractor support and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare reports, briefings, and decision-support products related to OCS planning and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Army, Joint, DoD, and CENTCOM OCS policies and regulations.
  • Maintain an active Secret security clearance and perform additional duties as directed by ARCENT leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience: 8 Years

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Clearance: Secret
