Scope and Purpose:

ManhattanLife is seeking to find a New Business Processor. As our New Business Processor, you will be responsible for life and accident new business application set up and agent support related to new business. This position is in-office only at our Salt Lake City, Utah location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the set up and review of new business Life and Accident applications in our computer administration system.
  • Provides verbal and written communication to our Agent regarding status of applications.
  • Follow up with agents on any new business application corrections needed.
  • Order and follow up on all medical records related to new business.
  • Run underwriting reports.
  • Data entry for new business applications.
  • Respond to agent support inbox in timely manner.
  • All phone calls associated with new business status inquiries.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all agents and insureds.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Graduate or equivalent (GED); one year of business experience; insurance knowledge preferred. Type a minimum of 45 words per minute.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and other PC applications and/or software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and organization skills.
  • Must be able to handle a fast-paced working environment with daily deadlines.
  • Able to work well independently and within a team environment.
  • Required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

 Travel Requirements:

This position may require light travel as needed.
