We are a global leader in enterprise imaging for healthcare, powering interoperability, streamlining clinical workflows, and unlocking AI-driven insights across some of the world’s largest health systems. Our software is mission-critical, operating at scale in highly regulated environments to support better, faster, safer patient care.

Our culture is guided by a simple but powerful code:

  • C — Customer First

Not just Sales—Engineering, Product, Support, Finance, IT. We align behind commercial success to enable company success.

About the Role

Mach7 Technologies is seeking a seasoned attorney to establish, lead, and scale our in-house legal function. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a legal professional with at least 5 years of experience who thrives in a dynamic, growth-stage environment.

You will serve as the company’s primary legal advisor, shaping legal strategy and building the foundation for scalable processes across commercial contracting, corporate governance, employment law, compliance, privacy, and risk management. This position offers a unique opportunity to create a modern legal function from the ground up, reduce reliance on outside counsel, and influence strategic decisions that drive organizational evolution.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Legal Leadership & Governance

  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on legal, compliance, and risk matters.
  • Design and implement Mach7’s legal framework, policies, and governance standards.
  • Develop a long-term legal roadmap aligned with business goals and operational scalability.
  • Provide guidance on organizational design, restructures, severance strategies, and workforce transitions.

Commercial & Corporate Legal

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (customer contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, licensing, partnerships).
  • Create and maintain contract templates and playbooks to streamline processes.
  • Support corporate governance, board materials, entity management, and compliance documentation.
  • Advise on M&A, fundraising, and strategic transactions as needed.

Employment & Workforce Legal

  • Partner with Workforce Excellence on employment law matters, including terminations, severance agreements, leaves of absence, and cross-border workforce considerations.
  • Draft and maintain employment agreements, confidentiality agreements, and policy documents.
  • Provide pragmatic legal guidance during organizational change and policy reform.

Compliance, Privacy & Regulatory Support

  • Develop and maintain policies for privacy, data protection, HIPAA compliance, and contractual security obligations.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and IT on audits and product-related regulatory inquiries.
  • Monitor global legal developments impacting healthcare technology and employment practices.

Risk Management & Legal Operations

  • Identify and mitigate enterprise risk across commercial, employment, and regulatory domains.
  • Build internal legal infrastructure, including workflows, approval processes, and contract repositories.
  • Manage outside counsel relationships strategically, ensuring cost efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active membership in at least one U.S. bar.
  • Minimum 5 years of broad legal experience, ideally with a mix of law firm and in-house exposure.
  • Strong generalist capabilities across:
    • Commercial contracting
    • Corporate governance
    • Employment law
    • Compliance and risk management
  • Experience in a fast-paced, growth-stage or regulated industry (healthcare a plus).
  • Exceptional judgment, communication skills, and ability to translate legal complexity into actionable guidance.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and partnering with senior leadership.
  • Builder mindset—ready to create processes and systems from scratch.

Why Join Mach7?

This is a rare opportunity to define and lead a legal function at a company undergoing rapid growth and transformation. Your impact will be immediate and visible, influencing how Mach7 manages risk, negotiates with customers, supports its workforce, and prepares for scale.

If you’re looking for a role where your expertise shapes the future of the organization and positions you for potential General Counsel-level leadership, this is the opportunity for you.

Company at a glance

At Mach7, our purpose is simple: to deliver to healthcare professionals the tools they need to help their patients achieve better health outcomes. Every day, medical practitioners face the challenge of bringing together an immense amount of patient data from multiple disparate sources while also finding a way to make sense of it. They must contend with issues like non-consolidated image storage, labor-intensive and inefficient workflows, and multiple viewers for different specialties and image types. With these obstacles in mind, Mach7 has built innovative solutions from the ground up that can integrate multiple systems, enable clinical collaboration, deliver vendor neutral archiving, provide enterprise-wide universal viewing, modernize legacy PACS, and more. Mach7 is focused on removing the technology limitations that inhibit the free flow of patient information and access to the complete patient medical record.

We differ from many other companies in the industry by building an integrated imaging ecosystem where all technologies work together in harmony. Because we are built as an integration platform first, we give you the freedom to use the technologies that are important to your physicians and patients, even if they are from another vendor. This also means we offer the independence and flexibility to deploy these as individual components or a comprehensive end-to-end enterprise imaging platform. Through this, we help organizations increase their efficiency, achieve profound operational cost savings, leverage their existing IT investments, improve the experience for patients and medical professionals, and, ultimately, support healthier outcomes.
