Senior Group Accountant – Finance Systems & Transformation (80–100 %)

Job Description

Would you like to contribute your accounting expertise to an international group consolidation while also developing finance systems and processes? In this role, you will combine Group Accounting with responsibility for our systems, working closely with group companies, IT and other specialist teams.

What you will work on

• Support monthly and annual closings and IFRS group reporting, and answer accounting and system-related questions from group companies.
• Provide global support for our consolidation and accounting systems and develop them from a business perspective, particularly their data flows, mappings, validations and access rights.
• Investigate the causes of data discrepancies and system issues, and coordinate solutions with IT, external partners and specialist teams.
• Drive standardisation and automation in Group Accounting and support the implementation of new business requirements.
• Help develop our finance processes and systems, bringing your accounting perspective to cross-functional projects.

Requirements

• An advanced qualification in accounting or finance, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree, a qualification as a certified expert in accounting and controlling, or an equivalent qualification
• Experience in accounting, consolidation or financial reporting, along with a good knowledge of IFRS
• An understanding of data flows and interfaces between finance systems, and experience in data analysis, automation or implementing digital solutions
• Experience providing functional support for consolidation or ERP systems is an advantage, particularly knowledge of Abacus
• A structured, independent approach, including during closing periods, and the ability to act as a bridge between Accounting, IT and external partners
• Fluency in German and English
