About this role
We are looking for a Founding Talent Lead with 4+ years of experience to own recruiting end-to-end at a well-funded, fast-growing B2B SaaS startup. You'll be the first dedicated talent hire, building pipelines for technical and non-technical roles while delivering a candidate experience that reflects Lapel's hospitality-first culture.
What will you be doing?
Sourcing and building candidate pipelines from scratch — primarily for engineering roles right now, expanding to go-to-market and other functions
Managing the full candidate lifecycle: outreach, screening, interview coordination, and closing
Delivering a high-touch, hospitality-grade candidate experience at every stage of the process
Partnering directly with founders to define role requirements and calibrate on what "great" looks like
Handling light people ops tasks (offer letters, process improvements) as the function grows
Key Requirements
4+ years of recruiting experience with a focus on technical/engineering roles at B2B SaaS startups
Startup background — must have recruited without relying on a big brand name or heavy inbound flow
Strong proactive sourcing skills for passive candidates; comfortable building top-of-funnel from zero
Must work on-site 5 days/week in San Francisco (no exceptions)
US citizen or Green Card holder — no visa sponsorship available
