Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role

• Proactively interact with stakeholders to make tailored purchasing solutions aligned with global commodity strategy to ensure the long-term, cost-effective supply of materials in Wuxi.
• To manage and drive value add improvement for procurement of Wuxi Site materials/Equipment, including localizations projects with cross function team.  
• Own the escalation path for delivery risks; drive cross-functional resolution (planning, production, quality, logistics, suppliers, CM) and prevent line-stop events.
• Identify, assess and mitigate single-source, capacity, geographic and continuity risks; establish and maintain business-continuity / BCP measures for critical materials.
• Supplier sourcing, qualification and evaluation according to established supplier management process for defined local managed categories 
• Drive strategic supplier management program through implementation of Vendor Performance Review towards achieving overall target for Quality, Cost and Delivery.
• Contract Management: New contract creation, alignment, maintenance and obsoletion. 

Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed 

• Bachelor/Mater Degree in Business Admin (BA), Economics or Engineering
• Good knowledge of purchasing/business administration/planning processes, tools and methods.
• At least 5 years of experience in material/ equipment/ spare part management, supply chain or manufacturing operations, with direct exposure to supplier delivery management.
• Deep understanding of plant operations and manufacturing pain points. Ability to translate plant priorities into supplier commitments and cross-functional actions. 
• Be sensitive to cost saving opportunities and skilled to drive cost saving projects.
• Semiconductor, electronics, or technical / engineered-material background is preferred.
• Comfortable with high-urgency, multi-tasking environments; resilient under pressure.
• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills in both Chinese and English.
• Cross functional team experience preferred.
• Methods and Tools: SAP MM, SAP mybuy, Supplier Strategy, Negotiation, etc.
