Position Summary
The Artillery Armament Field Support Representative (FSR) provides specialized on‑site technical support, troubleshooting, operational assistance and integration for all artillery armament systems deployed on a combat vehicle platform. This position serves as the primary field interface between operators, maintenance personnel, engineering teams, and customer stakeholders. The role requires deep technical knowledge of automotive, turret, fire control alignment tests procedures, position, timing and navigation, artillery fire control, artillery ammunition and weapon system components, along with experience supporting U.S. defense programs in field, test and operational environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide on‑site technical assistance for operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of artillery armament systems and integration of all mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and fire‑control subsystems that support cannon artillery operations.
• Serve as the field point‑of‑contact for customer personnel, operators, maintainers, and program stakeholders.
• Conduct fault isolation, root‑cause analysis, and corrective maintenance, coordinating complex issues with engineering and logistics teams.
• Support installation, upgrades, modifications, and integration of artillery armament components in field settings.
• Perform system checks, calibration, and functional tests of turret, stabilization, and weapon control systems.
• Document and report field incidents, maintenance observations, reliability trends, and configuration status.
• Provide operator and maintainer training, including classroom instruction and hands‑on demonstrations.
• Support field trials, live‑fire events, test activities, and system evaluations in varied operational environments.
• Ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, and configuration‑control requirements during all operations.
• Travel frequently to customer locations, test ranges, evaluation sites, and partner facilities.
Required Qualifications
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Weapons Systems Technology, or equivalent military training.
• Professional experience supporting artillery, turret, weapon station, or fire-control systems on military platforms.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic subsystems associated with combat vehicle turrets.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system faults using technical manuals, schematics, diagnostic equipment, and software tools.
• Experience working in field, operational, or test environments.
• Strong communication, documentation, and customer‑interaction skills.
• Ability to travel frequently and work in diverse operational conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience supporting towed and self‑propelled artillery, remote weapon stations, or manned turreted weapon systems.
• Active or eligible DoD security clearance.
• Familiarity with Army technical manuals (TMs), safety procedures, and sustainment practices related to weapon systems.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, logistics, and program management organizations.
• Previous leadership experience in field support, armament maintenance, or test operations.

Actual compensation may vary based on relevant skills/experience, education and certifications, market conditions, geographic location and internal pay equity.
