About this role

What we're looking for

We need someone with 5+ years of experience in circuit design and power electronics who has a strong track record designing power systems for aerospace, defense, automotive, or robotics environments. You should be comfortable working hands-on in the lab—debugging hardware, bringing up boards, and iterating fast—and have demonstrated ability to take designs from schematic through PCB layout to integration and test. Bonus points if you have motor drive design experience (BLDC/PMSM), familiarity with FPGA interfaces, or experience qualifying hardware to DO-160 or similar environmental standards.

What you'll do

  • Design power distribution and conversion systems for interceptor missile platforms, including battery management, power regulation, and protection circuits
  • Take ownership of actuator drive electronics for the fin control actuation system—power stage, current sensing, motor commutation, position-interface front-end, and motor-bus partitioning
  • Work closely with embedded software, systems, and control actuation engineers to integrate avionics hardware and tune systems on the bench
  • Create schematics, PCB layouts, and bring-up procedures for mission-critical avionics circuitry across analog and digital domains
  • Lead EMI/EMC design and validation efforts, ensuring power integrity, proper grounding, and robust mitigation strategies
  • Develop test infrastructure and hardware validation procedures, and perform hardware debugging, integration, and environmental testing
  • Help establish scalable electrical architecture standards that support high production rate manufacturing
