The Automation Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of advanced manufacturing equipment to ensure production quality and efficiency. They will perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and support process development while adhering to safety and GMP standards.
Candidates should possess a certificate or diploma in Manufacturing or Engineering and have at least one year of experience in an automation or manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and proficiency in English are required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining highly automated and advanced manufacturing equipment necessary to produce our signature product. This individual will be trained and cross-trained to both operate and troubleshoot issues across a variety of technologies including heat staking, laser welding, mechanical swaging, printed circuit board (PCB) handling and testing, robotic automation, metal stamping and bending, form/fill/seal medical packaging, and high-speed discrete component assembly. In addition to equipment operation and troubleshooting, this individual will be responsible for the product quality performance of the equipment and basic machine troubleshooting in the event of faults and machine stops.
During the Plant start-up this position will work during the core business hours. Business needs may necessitate the need to adjust shift start and end times and will require working in shifts.

Responsibilities:
• Perform equipment setup, operation, repair, and basic daily/weekly preventative maintenance tasks to meet all standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Maintain raw material feeds, perform any fault clearing and clear stoppages on equipment.
• Utilize human machine interfaces (HMIs) to operate equipment.
• Executes equipment inspections and generates emergency, corrective, and/or preventative work orders as needed.
• Troubleshoot and identify potential solutions for mechanical errors, safety issues or general operating inefficiencies within the production processes.
• Able to utilize computer systems to support material inventory and quality management processes.
• Participates in manufacturing processes to support new product design transfer, process development, equipment validations, and process validations.
• Investigates and resolves process issues within their equipment cells.
• Perform routine cleaning/inspection/lubrication of machinery.
• Works from specifications, work orders, and general instructions from Production Supervisor/Team Lead.
• Safely follow standard operating procedures and follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Notifies Team Leader or Production Supervisor of any discrepancies to ensure quality standards and safety of operations are always maintained.
• Excellent attention to detail, good organization, and capable of working independently with minimal instruction from production supervisor.
• Able to work in small groups and cross functional teams to troubleshoot issues, identify and implement collective corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean work environment suitable for medical device manufacturing and cleanroom production.
• Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience:
• Minimum SPM/Certificate/ Diploma preferred in Manufacturing/Engineering or any related field of study
• Added advantage for those Candidates with Malaysia’s skill certificate (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia)
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
• Minimum 1 year experience in automation production mode.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment in Manufacturing Operations or Automation environment.
• Machine troubleshooting experience requirement mechanical aptitude and/or technical ability
• Experience working in the medical device industry.
• Self-starter capable of dealing with a variety of tasks in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Experience in a start-up production environment is a plus.
• Proficiency in Malay & must be able to understand basic English language to be able to read documentation, communicate, and write.
• Ability to understand and follow standard operational procedures and follow written and oral instructions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and other employees.

• Good understanding of math and arithmetic skills and able to count accurately.
Physical Requirements (if applicable):
• Must be able to stand and bend up to 12 hours a day.
• Required to lift above shoulder frequently and below waist occasionally.
