About Us:
At NeuLife Rehabilitation of Kentucky II, Inc. we specialize in person-centered care for individuals with traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord injuries. Our team is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality support that promotes independence, safety, and dignity for every person we serve.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Direct Care Staff professional with experience supporting individuals with TBI and SCI in a residential or rehabilitation setting. This role requires hands-on support with daily living activities, mobility assistance, behavioral support, and medication management under clinical oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility support
Monitor and document behavioral, emotional, and physical changes
Assist with range-of-motion exercises and transfers (including use of assistive devices)
Ensure safe and accurate medication administration in accordance with training and protocols
Support individuals with behavioral challenges using de-escalation and redirection techniques
Maintain a clean, safe, and structured living environment
Accurately complete documentation, shift notes, and incident reports
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and case management teams to support individualized care plans
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with TBI or SCI preferred
Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or Med Tech certification preferred or required by state regulations
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
Ability to lift, transfer, and physically assist individuals with mobility limitations
Strong observational, communication, and teamwork skills
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries
