Our innovative technology enables us to address use cases that are currently beyond the reach of the most powerful supercomputers; these cases can concern industrial application challenges as well as fundamental science needs.
In addition to the exceptional computing power they provide, QPUs are highly energy efficient and will contribute to a significant reduction in the carbon footprint of the HPC industry.
Within the Hardware department, the Quantum Error Correction (QEC) team develops error-correcting codes and protocols that allow quantum computation to be carried out in a fault-tolerant way. It includes selecting error correcting codes tailored to Pasqal hardware, designing fault-tolerant logical gates, developing decoders, and benchmarking QEC performance, analyzing experimental data to develop logical error models and budgets, and building and maintaining numerical libraries to simulate QEC protocols.
Technical Responsabilities
Build and maintain a roadmap for the QEC team, in line with the strategic hardware roadmap.
Ensure that QEC-related software tools are aligned with the team roadmap and ensure cross-project consistency
Provide technical supervision of the team's work.
Coordinate the work carried out by the team with other teams and projects.
Ensure quality in written reports and documents relating to scientific and technical work.
Participate to QEC-related discussions with external collaborators.
Contribute to grant proposals and follow-up.
Be proactive in the generation of ideas that can lead to intellectual property and participate in reviewing application requests emerging within the company and related to QEC.
Represent the company, attend and contribute to international conferences and fairs.
Managerial Responsibilities
Propose and monitor a schedule of tasks assigned to team members, in collaboration with project managers.
Participate in the recruitment of new team members.
Ensure regular reporting on the progress of work to management and stakeholders.
Supervise, support, and develop the skills of team members.
You have a PhD in quantum physics or equivalent
You have at least 5 years' experience in quantum error correction, ideally with leadership experience (or a strong appetite for it if this is not the case!)

Strong interest in experimental physics.
Programming skills for data analysis and simulations (Python, etc.).

Description du poste
Dans le cadre de notre forte croissance, nous recrutons un Quantum Error Correction Manager pour renforcer notre équipe. L’équipe Quantum Error Correction (QEC) développe des codes et des protocoles de correction d’erreurs permettant d’effectuer des calculs quantiques de manière tolérante aux erreurs. Cela comprend la sélection et l’adaptation de codes de correction d’erreurs à nos processeurs quantiques à atomes neutres, la conception et la caractérisation de portes logiques tolérantes aux fautes et de décodeurs, l’analyse de données expérimentales pour établir des modèles et des budgets d’erreur logique, ainsi que la création et la maintenance de bibliothèques numériques permettant de simuler des protocoles
Dans ce cadre, vos missions principales seront :
Responsabilités techniques
Construire et maintenir une feuille de route pour l’équipe QEC, en cohérence avec la roadmap stratégique hardware.
Veiller à ce que les développements des outils logiciels liés à la QEC soient alignés avec la roadmap de l’équipe et assurer la cohérence entre les différents projets.
Assurer la supervision technique des travaux de l’équipe.
Coordonner les travaux de l’équipe avec les autres équipes et projets.
Garantir la qualité des rapports et documents écrits relatifs aux travaux scientifiques et techniques.
Participer aux échanges/discussions sur la QEC avec des collaborateurs externes.
Contribuer aux demandes de subventions (grant proposals) et à leur suivi.
Être proactif dans la génération d’idées pouvant mener à de la propriété intellectuelle, participer à la rédaction et au dépôt de brevets dans les domaines scientifiques et techniques liés à la recherche, aux produits, aux technologies et aux marchés de l’entreprise.
Représenter l’entreprise, participer et contribuer à des conférences et salons internationaux.
Responsabilités managériales
Proposer et suivre un planning des tâches confiées aux membres de l’équipe, en collaboration avec les chefs de projet (Project Managers).
Participer au recrutement des nouveaux membres de l’équipe.
Assurer le reporting régulier de l’avancement des travaux auprès de la direction et des parties prenantes.
Encadrer, accompagner et faire monter en compétences les membres de l’équipe.
Vous disposez d'un PhD en quantum ou équivalent
Vous possédez une expérience d'au moins 5 ans en Quantum Error Correction, avec idéalement une expérience managériale (ou une forte appétence pour le management si ce n'est pas le cas !)
