Job Responsibilities

• Develop, review and improve analytical methods to achieve high accuracy and precision.
• Conduct method validation and troubleshooting when analytical issues occur.
• Ensure all analytical methods comply with Quality Management standards.
• Create and update Work Instructions based on standard methods such as ASTM, UOP, ISO, and other applicable standards.
• Monitor the usage of chemicals, consumables, and spare parts to maintain sufficient inventory levels.
• Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PR) for chemicals, consumables, and spare parts required for laboratory operations.
• Coordinate with Production, Offsite (OS), and Commercial divisions regarding raw material analysis before unloading and product analysis before loading (ship/lorry).
• Participate in QHSE-related programs such as hazard identification, safety meetings, and audits in accordance with HSE regulations.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards, ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 9001 (Quality Management System).
• Implement relevant procedures and maintain required documentation.

Job Requirements

• Fresh Graduate with min. Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from a reputable university.
• Preferrably has experience in Petrochemical Laboratory area for 1- 2 years.
• Possess knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and environmental compliance in a chemical processing environment.
• Possess knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements to ensure compliance with quality management systems and continuous improvement.
• Ability to identify issues, analyze options and make effective decisions to achieve work objectives through discussion and coordination with other staff.
• Have strong knowledge of coventional analytical methods, including gravimetric and volumetric analysis. 
• Familiar operate sophisticates Laboratory equipment such as GC, IC, HPLC, ICP, AAS, Hg Analyzer, TS, TN ,TCl analyzer, etc.
• Familiar with data evaluation and reporting system.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Willing to be placed in Cilegon.
