Job Description
As the team leader of warehouse operation management for trading business, you will be responsible for orchestrating end-to-end warehouse operational excellence. You will lead a high-performing team to ensure logistics maturity, cost efficiency, and seamless coordination between internal stakeholders and external service providers. Your role is pivotal in driving organizational change and continuous improvement projects to support our evolving trading landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance & Financial Management: Drive team performance through KPI setting and monitoring. Responsible for BP and CF to ensure warehouse operations remain within budget while meeting service level agreements.
Operational Maturity & Standardization: Lead the implementation of logistics maturity standards (e.g., BPS/Lean) across all warehouse nodes. Establish and maintain standardized work processes to ensure consistency and scalability in the trading business.
LSP & Stakeholder Management: Oversee LSP management, including performance management and strategic collaboration. Act as the primary interface for both internal (Business Units, Controlling, Purchasing) and external communication.
CIP & Project Leadership: Warehouse optimization initiatives and implementation w/ CIP mindset. Support and lead critical projects such as warehouse relocations and ramp up.
Team Leadership & People Coaching: Manage, motivate, and develop team members. Focus on people coaching and talent cultivation to build a future-ready workforce capable of navigating complex logistics challenges.
Organization Optimization: Lead and facilitate organization efficiency optimization and organizational change management within the warehouse functions to adapt to market shifts and business growth in the trading sector.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations.
Proven track record in a management or leadership role (3-5+ years) within a complex multinational environment.
Technical Skills:
Expert knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and lean warehouse methodologies.
Strong proficiency in Quality Tools (e.g., PDCA, 5S, Fishbone) and Standardization techniques.
Solid understanding of LSP management and procurement processes.
Project Management: Proven competence in Project Management; a formal qualification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.
Financial Acumen: Capability in managing Cost, BP, and CF to drive bottom-line results.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
Strong change management capability with a proactive and "can-do" mindset.
Language: Fluent in both English and Mandarin (written and verbal).
Resilience and the ability to lead a team under pressure in a dynamic trading environment.
