The DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines while embedding automation and security controls throughout the software development lifecycle. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot pipeline issues, monitor performance, and integrate security scanning tools to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 7 years of experience in automation, software development, or DevSecOps. Proficiency in CI/CD platforms, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, and security scanning tools is required, along with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

This is a hybrid role, requiring the successful candidate to attend our Tralee office.
The DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable DevSecOps pipelines aligned with SMBC’s Secure Systems and Software Development Lifecycle. This role plays a key part in advancing automation, reducing vulnerabilities, and enforcing controls across CI/CD pipelines to enable secure, efficient software delivery.
The position ensures that security, compliance, and quality controls are embedded throughout the full lifecycle—from development through deployment—in line with regulatory expectations (e.g. FFIEC, NIST SSDF) and internal governance standards. The ideal candidate combines a strong engineering mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, hands-on experience with modern DevOps toolchains, and a deep understanding of secure SDLC practices.
