Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Maintenance Plumber – Level 3 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

   

The Maintenance Plumber performs installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing, water, gas, steam, and drainage systems in industrial and commercial facilities. This role ensures the safe and reliable operation of facility plumbing systems by diagnosing issues, replacing fixtures, and maintaining compliance with applicable codes and standards.

This position will work 2nd shift.

In this job, you will:

• Determine defects in, repair, and maintain heating, water, and drainage systems in industrial or commercial establishments.
• Inspects high-pressure, air, steam, water, and gas systems to ascertain malfunctions
• Repairs or replaces plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, water heaters, and hot water tanks.
• Replaces washers
• Mends or replaces burst or leaky pipes
• Tests joints and pipe systems for leaks
• Opens clogged drains
• Measures, cuts, threads, bends, reams, and installs pipe and pipe fittings
• Uses plumbers' tools such as snakes, wrenches, plungers, pipe threaders, etc.
• Maintains knowledge of local codes.

• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.   
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
• Ability to understand various piping systems (air, steam, water, and gas systems)
• Ability to inspect, identify, and provide solutions to repair systems
• Experience using basic plumbing tools (such as basin wrench, pipe wrench, compression sleeve puller, drain auger, tongue-and-groove pliers, etc)

 Preferred Qualifications:  

• Active DOD Secret Clearance
• Large/Multi-Site Facilities plumbing experience
• Certified in backflow

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,600.00 - $121,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
