As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, construction, and configuration of software applications. This role requires taking charge of project efforts, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that the development process aligns with organizational goals. The position serves as the main liaison for application-related activities, overseeing progress and addressing challenges to deliver effective software solutions. The role demands proactive engagement in planning, problem-solving, and guiding the team to meet project milestones efficiently.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Builds simple data pipelines following DE CoP standards and defined patterns.
1–3 years
Bachelor s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Builds simple data ingestion pipelines using existing files, connectors, and APIs.
Implements basic data transformations aligned to defined data models.
Builds pipelines using ETL tool (Matillion preferred).Uses Snowflake and Git for development. Basic exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP.
Builds simple ingestion using APIs and standard connectors.
Strong understanding of ETL fundamentals with focus on data harmonization
Builds simple data transformations using defined patterns
Understands BRDs and translates requirements into basic ETL logic
Working knowledge of version control tools
Builds simple to moderate SQL transformations and joins
Performs basic data validation and reconciliation using SQL
Troubleshoots data issues under guidance
Uses existing schemas and conventions.
Builds simple ETL jobs following component-level transformations
Leverages existing shared jobs as per DE CoP guidelines
Troubleshoots basic failures using execution logs
Applies DE standards and coding guidelines.
Understands BRD requirements and flags basic gaps.
Builds basic data checks and reconciliations.
Builds pipelines within existing permission and security models.
Participates in technical discussions related to assigned work.
Communicates task-level status and technical challenges.
Produces technical documentation using existing templates.
Shares inputs when required and learns from senior team members.
Participates in forums and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Builds efficient pipelines using standard patterns.
Scheduled data pipelines, basic transformations, validation logic.
Feature-level ingestion or transformation pipelines.
Familiar with Scrum–Agile ways of working and sprint ceremonies.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Snowflake Data Warehouse.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
