About Del Toro Insurance

Del Toro Insurance is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the accuracy, organization, and day-to-day management of financial records across the business. This role is essential to maintaining strong financial operations and helping internal teams make informed business decisions. The Bookkeeper will work closely with leadership and administrative teams to ensure transactions are recorded correctly, accounts are reconciled on time, and financial information is maintained with a high level of integrity.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries

  • Record daily financial transactions and ensure all supporting documentation is complete and organized

  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a regular basis

  • Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports

  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on receivables as needed

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting

  • Support payroll recordkeeping and coordinate with internal or external payroll partners as needed

  • Help prepare documentation for audits, tax filings, and internal reviews

  • Review financial records for discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information

  • Collaborate with leadership and operational teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy

  • Financial records are accurate, current, and well-organized

  • Reconciliations and reporting are completed consistently and on schedule

  • Billing, payments, and expense tracking are handled efficiently and with minimal errors

  • Financial discrepancies are identified early and resolved promptly

  • Internal stakeholders can rely on timely financial information to support operations

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, or a similar finance-related role

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices

  • Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in the insurance industry or another regulated business environment

  • Familiarity with payroll support and financial reporting processes

  • Associate degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or a related field

  • Experience supporting month-end or year-end close activities

Work Environment

  • Works closely with administrative and leadership teams

  • Role may involve repetitive financial review, data entry, and reconciliation tasks requiring strong focus and accuracy

  • May be based in an office, hybrid, or other structured business environment depending on business needs
