About this role
POSITION SUMMARY: Join a team of fellow students to clean and maintain the men's and women's residence halls and other select locations on campus. Typical schedules include 12 hours of work per week: 2 hours per weekday, with one hour of work on Saturday and Sunday. Schedule can be flexible depending on your availability.
Bob Jones University or Bob Jones Academy students only
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take ownership of your assigned area and keep it organized
- Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures
- Sweep, mop, or vacuum floors and stairs
- Empty/clean trash containers
- Clean, dust, and wipe down surfaces in study lounges, vending rooms, and laundry rooms
- Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies
- Report schedule changes, maintenance needs, and all extra cleaning requests to a GA who is directly responsible for your area
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University or Academy (at least 14 years old)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to take initiative
- Ability to follow instructions
- This job involves standing, stooping, squatting, lifting, carrying, and pushing
