Job DetailsJob Location: Guayaquil, Ecuador - Guayaquil, Ecuador, FL 33126Position Type: Full TimeJr. Data Scientist will be responsible for applying advanced statistical analysis tools and ML techniques for different types of business challenges e.g., customer segmentation, propensity to lapse, policyholder behavior, text analytics, the Next Best Action etc. The primary responsibilities will be performing statistical analyses, running custom SQL queries, and building ML models using Python, identifying patterns and trends that can improve our products and services efficiency and usability. This position plays a critical role in the agile squads by working with key business partners to deliver on data and analytical outcomes. Reporting to the AI & Data Science Lead, this role will be based in Ecuador.Qualifications• Design and implement robust data models, algorithms, and analytics methodologies.

• Analyze complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify trends.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable results.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies in data science.

PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
• 2+ years’ experience with tools such as Python, SQL and Jupyter Notebook
• Experience with Python packages such us NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn, scikit-learn and NLTK
• Proven experience in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
