Internal Auditor

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in planning and executing internal audit assignments across departments.
Perform testing of financial and operational processes to assess the adequacy of controls
Document audit findings, prepare working papers and support audit reports.
Conduct risk assessments and help identify areas for improvement
Stay update on company policies, regulatory requirements and best practices in auditing.
Support the audit team with administrative task and data analysis as needed.
Qualifications: Education & Experience

Approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant internal audit, external audit, risk, compliance or controls experience.
Strong ability to prepare clear, well-supported audit workpapers and communicate exceptions appropriately.
Experience performing end-to-end audit testing, including walkthroughs, control evaluation, sample testing and documentation of results.
Experience working with management and process owners to understand business processes and obtain supporting evidence.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify control weaknesses and assess their underlying risks.
Advanced-level English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Risk Management or a related discipline.
Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, ACCA or CISA is preferred, or meaningful progress toward certification.
Experience within insurance, financial services or another regulated industry would be an advantage.
Experience using data analytics or technology-enabled audit techniques would also be an advantage.
