About New Porgera

New Porgera Limited (NPL) is a company incorporated in Papua New Guinea and owns the Porgera Gold Mine in Enga Province. The Porgera Gold Mine will employ nearly 3,000 Papua New Guineans at full production, and over the last 30 years of life of the mine it has contributed approximately 10% of Papua New Guinea’s total annual export

About the Scholarship 

New Porgera Limited is excited to announce its 2027 New Porgera Ltd Anarina Peyama Scholarship designed to empower and support outstanding students in achieving academic excellence and professional success. This opportunity is open to exceptional second, third, and fourth-year students enrolled at recognized universities in PNG

Who Can Apply?

We are looking for high-performing students who:

• Are currently in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study.

• Have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.5 or a 75% cumulative average over the last three semesters and are committed to maintaining this standard.

• Demonstrate strong academic performance and leadership potential.

• Students from Porgera and Enga Province are encouraged to apply.

• Mining Engineering

• Mechanical Engineering

• Mineral Processing

• Geology /Earth Science

• Mine Surveying

• Electrical Engineering
