About this role

What are we looking for?

We need someone with 5-8 years of experience in product design who owns UX flows end to end and has a portfolio full of dense, technical software that operators use for hours every day. You should be comfortable working on-site in a fast, AI-native startup with no design team around you. You should also have a track record of turning complex processes into simple, data-informed workflows that ship.

Bonus points if you have worked in insurance, claims, healthcare or another compliance-heavy field, have designed AI and human-in-the-loop experiences, or have been the first hire in a function.

What you'll do: - Own every surface a customer touches, from the claims workspace an insurance adjuster uses 8-10 hours a day to the dashboards executives and team leads check.

Your main focus is UX over UI: making a complex claims process feel simple.

  • Take ownership of UX research and instrumentation. Look at how the platform is actually used (behavioral data, heat maps, usage patterns), run discovery calls and sit with users, and use what you find to decide what to improve.
  • Work closely with the CPO, the four forward-deployed engineers and the engineering team to turn customer problems into clear workflows, and hand off designs for engineering to implement. You're not expected to build the frontend yourself.
  • Design the interaction model for AI agents doing real work, so users can see what the agent did, why, what it read and where it was unsure, and then agree or step in.
  • Lead the move from today's vibe-coded, undesigned interface to an enterprise-grade product as large insurance carriers and their adjusters come onto the platform, taking each piece from discovery through delivery.
  • Build the design system and design principles, and use AI tools (e.g., Claude, Lovable) every day to prototype quickly. Measure whether changes help users finish their work with less effort.
