This apartment community has 188 units, and is located in Palm Coast, FL.
We will be holding open interviews for this position at Viva New Smyrna, on Tuesday 08.25 and Wednesday, 08.26 from 9am to 5pm (closed for lunch from 12pm to 1pm) We hope you'll stop by with your resume for an interview!

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property in a safe, attractive and comfortable condition. This individual will maintain relationships with other service staff, residents and vendors. Some key responsibilities will include providing the highest level of customer service, make regular inspections of grounds and buildings as part of a preventative maintenance plan, complete service requests and assist with the apartment make-ready process. The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to
Prepare vacant apartment homes for occupancy by making any necessary repairs
Complete work orders in occupied homes while providing fast, friendly service
Assists in organization and assignment of service work orders at the Maintenance Supervisor's direction
Follow preventive maintenance guidelines
Maintain property grounds
HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance and all other service requests
Team work to achieve property goals
Follow safety procedures
Assists in maintaining inventory, required company logs, orderliness, and safety of tools, equipment, supplies and maintenance shop
Assists with mentoring and training other grounds and maintenance technicians at the Maintenance Supervisor's direction
Qualifications
1-5 years of experience in a similar industry
Experienced and knowledgeable with appliance troubleshooting/repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and grounds
This position will hold a large focus on exterior grounds/curb appeal and make ready turns from construction
Valid Driver's License with valid auto insurance required
EPA Certification highly preferred
Experience with pools a plus, CPO preferred
Strong communication and customer service
Must have attention for detail
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Must be available after hours and weekends for on-call responsibilities (rotated schedule)
