As a Failure Analysis (FA) Technician, you will join our specialized laboratory team to perform comprehensive physical and electrical failure analysis on products originating from reliability qualifications. You will utilize cutting-edge analytical tools to isolate root causes, providing critical technical findings that drive process improvements, enhance yield, and uphold product reliability.

• Comprehensive Failure Analysis: Conduct structured failure investigations on materials and semiconductor devices from Reliability Qualifications to identify root causes and support continuous product/process optimization.
• Advanced Laboratory Testing & Diagnostics: Perform a wide array of specialized FA techniques, including:Non-Destructive Testing: 2D and 3D/CT X-ray analysis, and Scanning Acoustic Microscopy (SAM).Optical & Electron Microscopy: Low- and high-power optical inspections, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) for microstructural examination, and Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) for elemental composition.Sample Preparation & De-processing: Physical micro-sectioning, as well as laser, chemical, and mechanical decapsulation.Spectroscopy & Imaging: Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy for chemical compound identification, and digital photomicrography to document observations.
• Historical Evaluation & Technical Reporting: Review device manufacturing and test history across prior process steps. Generate clear, data-driven FA reports outlining analytical findings, micrographs, and process improvement recommendations.
• Result Review & Escalation: Conduct critical evaluations of analytical results; escalate to deeper-level analysis when initial findings are inconclusive, and review/verify data packages prior to external release (T2 level).
• Lab Operations & Compliance: Assist in evaluating and updating lab standard operating procedures (SOPs), manuals, and specifications. Maintain chemical inventories and laboratory supplies, ensure strict compliance with EHS guidelines, uphold 5S housekeeping standards, and preserve complete records for audit traceability.

• Educational Foundation: Graduate of a technical program in Electronics Technology, Chemical Technology, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Laboratory Experience: Hands-on experience working in a semiconductor Failure Analysis or analytical materials laboratory.
• Analytical Tool Proficiency: Practical familiarity with sample preparation techniques (decapsulation, cross-sectioning) and diagnostic equipment (optical microscopes, SEM/EDX, X-ray, SAM, FTIR).
• Technical Reporting & Detail Focus: Strong ability to document technical findings accurately, organize digital imaging data, and maintain disciplined laboratory records.
• Safety & Team Orientation: A strong commitment to laboratory safety, chemical handling protocols, and collaborative teamwork to achieve departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
