How you'll make an impact

  • Own the enterprise Disaster Recovery strategy, framework, and governance.
  • Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and define RTOs/RPOs together with business stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute Disaster Recovery exercises, including failover/failback testing, with post-test reports and remediation tracking.
  • Ensure backup, replication, and recovery solutions meet regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA, ISO 22301, ISO 27001).
  • Maintain Disaster Recovery documentation, recovery runbooks, and dependency maps.
  • Manage third-party vendors supporting backup, replication, and Disaster Recovery services.
  • Define and report Disaster Recovery KPIs to senior management and support crisis management during business disruptions.

What it takes to succeed in this role

What it takes to succeed in this role

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Continuity Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or business continuity, including 3–4 years focused specifically on enterprise Disaster Recovery.
  • Hands-on experience defining and validating RTOs/RPOs and translating them into technical recovery requirements.
  • Proven track record planning and executing Disaster Recovery exercises for critical systems, with structured post-test reporting.
  • Solid technical understanding of backup and recovery technologies across on-premises and cloud environments (e.g., Veeam, Zerto, AWS/Azure DR).
  • Working knowledge of DORA, ISO 22301, and ISO 27001, including audit preparation experience.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; fluent English required, German language skills are an advantage.
