About the Position: A-MAX Insurance offers residents and businesses throughout Arizona a comprehensive portfolio of personal and commercial insurance solutions designed to our customers’ needs. The company is committed to building an organization based on integrity, reliability, and value. Located in Phoenix Arizona, A-MAX is looking to hire a Commercial Insurance Agent.

The Commercial Insurance Agent’s role is to build a pipeline of customer prospects that will lead to generating new business. The Commercial Insurance Agent is the main point of contact from origination to the life cycle of the policy.

A successful candidate has a strong sense of customer service, excellent communication, and exceptional negotiating skills. This is an In-Office position.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with various types of Commercial Insurance ex. Commercial automobile, Workers Compensation, General Liability, Excess/Umbrella and Business Owners Policies
Propose coverage for business and commercial
Identify prospective insureds insurance requirements by analyzing their profile and help advise them of their insurance needs to protect their assets
Counsel and advise prospects and policyholders on matters of protection and coverage
Develop and maintain business relationships with policyholders
Complete contract forms, prepare change of address records, and issue discontinuance orders
Determine charges for services requested, collect deposits or payments, and/or arrange for billing
Review insurance policy terms to determine whether a particular loss is covered by the insurance
Assist with daily housekeeping routines

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Must have at least 2 years professional sales experience
Active Property & Casualty Insurance License in Arizona is required
Commercial Insurance sales experiences is preferred but not necessary
This role is in office with local travel for marketing required
Basic Computer knowledge and possess strong written, verbal, and people skills.
Able to work independently with minimal/no supervision and quickly learn any Company/Proprietary software.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Complete continuing education courses (Paid for by A-MAX) as required to maintain active license status with the Department of Insurance
