We foster independence through a continuum of support which includes community residential services, shared living, adult foster care, transportation services and community day programs. In politischen Gremien und in der Öffentlichkeit agiert er als Anwalt und Partner benachteiligter Menschen und setzt sich für eine solidarische Gesellschaft ein. BRC is one of New York City's largest providers of housing and services for individuals experiencing homelessness. Founded in 1971 by a group of recovering alcoholics living in poverty in the Bowery’s infamous flophouses, these individuals had hope, and a firm belief that better days lay ahead. BRC serves nearly 13,000 individuals each year, operating more than 30 programs throughout the greater metropolitan area. The organization’s robust continuum of housing and services includes over 3,700 units of transitional and permanent housing; outreach and case management programs; and substance use and medical services. Together, these programs offer a caring and effective path from homelessness to home, providing comprehensive services that guide everyone on their unique journey.

For more than 50 years, The Connection statewide community-based human services agency has partnered with individuals and their families to provide the needed resources to improve their lives. We help more than 8,000 people annually find solutions to the problems of homelessness, mental illness, substance use, and community justice rehabilitation. The Connection maintains corporate offices in Middletown, and delivers services at 65 residential and outpatient sites to residents in an extensive number of communities in Connecticut, including New Haven, Hartford, Middletown, Groton, Norwich, New London, Bridgeport, Danbury, Torrington, Waterbury and many others.
