Mary Technology
Backed byChicago VenturesAbout Mary Technology
Mary Technology is an AI-powered legal technology company that helps litigation lawyers cut through chaos by organizing messy evidential documents and turning them into structured, searchable records of facts — in minutes.
Mary's Fact Management System reviews thousands of documents, extracting each key fact, person, date, and source. Everything is assembled into a clear timeline, summary, and index that can be filtered, searched, and exported, with each fact marked by relevance to the case. The result: 72% less time preparing cases, greater confidence in the facts, and more capacity to focus on clients and outcomes.
Founded in 2024 by a former lawyer and experienced technologists, Mary Technology was born from firsthand frustration with how disorganized case facts were slowing legal work and increasing barriers to justice. Today, over 3,000 lawyers across 200+ firms use Mary across Australia, the US, Europe, and APAC.
The company raised a $7M seed round at a $42M valuation in early 2025 and is now expanding its permanent US presence with a new headquarters in Austin, TX. Co-founders and senior leadership are relocating to build the US team firsthand.
Mary Technology is AI-forward in its internal culture — the team embraces modern tools, moves fast, and operates with minimal bureaucracy. If someone needs a tool, they buy it. There are no rigid processes or unnecessary rules. It's a high-trust, high-autonomy environment where people are empowered to do their best work.
