Salary Range:
The base salary listed is a range. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others). In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a bonus, providing the opportunity to earn additional compensation.

Position Summary
The Poultry Technical Specialist is responsible for enabling the Poultry business’s commercial growth potential by providing industry expertise, nutritional services, and training to our sales team and global customers. Additional responsibilities include providing input into the corporate Poultry strategy and working with the local and global research teams to develop research programs, including directing and coordinating studies, to find better solutions and recommendations for clients.
Essential Functions
- Become the Zinpro solutions expert and provide technical support and expertise to internal and external Poultry customers.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with key players and decision makers in North America Poultry Industry
- Partner with customers to implement Zinpro programs, apply Zinpro tools and assessors, and develop improved solutions.
- As part of the Poultry Business Development team, you will take ownership of assigned accounts and business goals while contributing support across the team as needed.
- Develop and implement research protocols to address current and future needs of the Poultry business and support business growth
- Direct, coordinate, and summarize Poultry research studies. And prepare data and conclusions for internal and key customer presentations.
- Provide input into the corporate Poultry strategy collaborating with sales and marketing, local and global teams
- Participate in other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Required:
- Doctorate degree (PhD, DVM) in Poultry Nutrition or a related field
- 6+ years of nutrition or technical service experience
- Experience providing technical services to sales teams and poultry customers
- Experience conducting poultry animal research studies
- Advanced computer skills including use of spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information to diverse audiences including top management, public groups, and scientific peers

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
The work environment consists of multiple different environments: standard office, long periods in a motor vehicle, farms, animal producers, manufacturing facilities, and/or at client/customers facilities.
Positions in this class typically require typing, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Schedule Requirements
This position is expected to work within core business hours and requires participation in after-hours and weekend calls, customer/client events & meetings, and industry events.
Travel Requirements
This position requires an estimated 50% travel, but it may be higher depending on business needs. Required travel is primarily within the US but will include occasional other international travel.
