This role exists to remove technical and logistical friction so that people can encounter God without distraction. Through strong preparation, hands-on AVL execution, and healthy volunteer leadership, this person helps every ministry environment — from Mission Kids through Legacy and our Growth Track— run smoothly, week after week.

Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Weekend & Mid-Week Production Execution

  • Maintain a budget for the purchase/rental of technical equipment and maintenance to support the needs of ministries.

2. Cross-Ministry Production Coordination

  • Support the production needs of Kids’ Ministry through Legacy Adult Ministry, including Partner Gatherings, Planter Gatherings, Growth Track Courses, and other ministry gatherings.
  • Coordinate production needs across Kids, Students, Legacy, Growth Track, and Weekend to support the Teams and age-based ministries of Mission Church.
  • Work with production staff and staff leadership to keep production support consistent across every environment.

3. Planning Center & Documentation

  • Prepare and populate Planning Center with the resources needed for ministry needs and services.
  • Maintain production schedules, service plans, and documentation.

4. Volunteer Training & Development

  • Train and schedule production volunteers for Adult, Student, and Kids production coverage as well as other ministry gathering events.
  • Ensure Production volunteers are equipped for their serving role.
  • Recruit volunteers regularly to continue to build a team prepared and ready to execute in various Mission environments

Success In This Role Looks Like

  • Production elements are fully prepared, tested, and ready ahead of every service and event.
  • Planning Center resources and production documentation are accurate, current, and easy for others to follow.
  • Production volunteers feel trained, equipped, valued, and spiritually invested in — and there is a healthy pipeline replenishing the team.
  • Ministry leaders and the Worship Team experience the Production Coordinator as a dependable, collaborative partner.
  • Technical issues are identified and resolved quickly, with minimal disruption to the experience.

The Kind Of Person We're Looking For

  • Pursues a growing relationship with Jesus and demonstrates emotional and relational health.

  • Is adaptable and has the ability to pick up on concepts quickly to keep progress moving forward.
  • Prioritizes time with people to create team cohesion and appreciation.
  • Is intuitive and can identify gaps, misalignment, or burnout with those he/she works with, and responds quickly and intentionally.
  • Embodies a joyful presence that positively affects the volunteers and staff the position supports.
  • Is approachable, encouraging, and relational.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Experience operating AVL systems (audio, video, lighting) in live environments.
  • Working knowledge of audio systems, video playback, lighting, and production software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic AVL and production system issues.
  • Familiarity with service planning tools such as Planning Center or similar systems.
