The Parts Warehouse Associate I plays a critical role in supporting warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, and overall operational efficiency within the parts network. This position is responsible for executing daily warehouse functions including order fulfillment, inventory movement, shipping and receiving, staging, and customer support while maintaining high standards for safety, accuracy, and productivity.
This role directly contributes to customer uptime, operational performance, and inventory integrity through efficient execution of warehouse processes and cross-functional support.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Deliver a high level of internal and external customer service through timely, accurate, and professional support.
Execute daily warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, staging, shipping, deliveries, and customer will-call support.
Maintain inventory accuracy through proper handling, identification, storage, cycle count participation, and adherence to inventory control processes.
Support operational efficiency by meeting productivity, accuracy, and turnaround expectations in a fast-paced environment.
Assist in processing cores, returns, hose fabrication, and shipping documentation with attention to quality and compliance standards.
Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment in accordance with company 6S standards.
Communicate effectively with warehouse leadership, counter personnel, drivers, technicians, and other departments to ensure workflow continuity and customer satisfaction.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on warehouse organization, process efficiency, and service execution.
Assist with special projects, inventory activities, and operational support as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
6 months to 2 years of warehouse, logistics, inventory, distribution, or related experience preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
Working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory processes, shipping/receiving procedures, and material handling practices.
Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment or obtain certification upon hire.
Ability to utilize inventory systems, order processing software, scanners, and basic computer applications.
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, shipping documents, and inventory information.
Basic mathematical and problem-solving skills required for inventory and order accuracy.
Ability to pass WorkSteps testing requirements for the position.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or extended hours based on operational needs.
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements if operating company vehicles.
