The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and managing fixed asset registers. They also assist with quarterly unit statements, distribution calculations, and various financial reporting tasks to support the finance team.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and possess relevant experience in a senior financial accounting role. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills are required, with CPA or CAANZ membership preferred.

As we continue to grow as a business, we are expanding our finance team and are actively seeking a Financial Accountant to join our team. This is a hybrid role with a mix of in office at our new William Street head office, along with working from home.

As one of Australia’s largest grain growers, Warakirri Cropping owns and operates a diversified portfolio of large-scale and highly productive cropping aggregations across the northern, southern and western grain production zones of Australia. The portfolio comprises of 11 aggregations totaling approximately ~150,000 hectares, with a balanced distribution across production zones. Warakirri Cropping employs full-time farm staff who are responsible for the day-to-day management of the properties. On-farm employees are supported by a specialised management and administration team based in Melbourne. Contract service providers are utilised for some farming operations.
