The Chemist I is responsible for performing routine analyses of organic and inorganic substances to determine the composition of hazardous waste. They also maintain laboratory equipment and ensure all procedures comply with regulatory and quality assurance standards.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or a related discipline and possess 1 to 3 years of experience in the hazardous waste industry. Additionally, 24-hour HAZWOPER training is required, along with the ability to use various personal protective equipment.

Responsible for performing a variety of routine analyses and screening of organic and inorganic substances to determine make up of hazardous waste and appropriate stabilization according to quality assurance and control procedures. Maintains the laboratory and equipment in compliance with regulatory and site specifications.
