The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate degree being preferred. Candidates must be able to pass a NACI background check and follow technical manuals for maintenance procedures.

Ground Tactical Engagement Systems (TES) consists of simulation and training equipment including but not limited to the following:

Engagement Simulation System (V TESS) Basic and Delta Kits, I-MILES Individual Weapons Systems (IWS & IWS/2) + Mirror Alignment Jig Kit (MAJiK & MAJiK-V2), I-MILES Shoulder Launched Munitions (SLM), I-MILES Universal Controller Device (UCD), MK-19, TOW Improved Target Acquisition System – Tactical Engagement Simulation System (ITAS-TESS), MILES 2000 Laser Target Interface Device (LTID), MILES-Basic Small Arms Alignment Fixture (SAAF) and STINGER.
