Role Description:
Description: The Sutherland Lab (Sutherland Lab website) in the Department of Biological Sciences is seeking a reliable, enthusiastic work study student for 6~8 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be Biological Science, Biochemistry, Animal Sciences or Medical and Molecular Sciences major, have a genuine interest in research and the ability to commit to working 2 days per week in 3-4 hour blocks of time. You will receive training for this position and no prior research/laboratory experience is necessary.
The student will be responsible for making solutions, media and supplies for the lab. Additionally, the student will assist with general lab chores and cleaning as needed. The student will be supervised by Dr. Sutherland and trained by a graduate student. This work will require use of an autoclave (training will be provided), the ability to lift 25 lbs without assistance. The applicant must be eligible for work study. Freshman and sophomores are particularly encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications:
