Position Summary
The Painter is responsible for preparing and painting vacant apartment homes to support unit readiness, leasing timelines, and overall property presentation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring each apartment meets company quality standards and delivers a strong first impression for incoming residents. The Painter works closely with the Maintenance and Property Management teams to complete unit turns efficiently while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
Work Arrangement
Location: Onsite / Redbank Village & Liberty Commons / South Portland, ME Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM On-Call / Weekends: Occasional, based on business needs
Key Responsibilities
Prepare apartment units for painting, including patching, sanding, caulking, and priming surfaces. Complete full-unit repaints and touch-ups to support make-ready and move-in schedules. Apply paint with a high-quality, professional finish while maintaining clean and organized work areas. Inspect completed work to ensure company quality standards are met. Assist with unit turns and general maintenance as needed while following all company safety policies and procedures.

Base Salary Range: $25 Bonus Eligibility: Discretionary bonus upon eligibility Incentives: Eligibility for performance-based awards

Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently lift or move items up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, crouching, and crawling Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Manual dexterity to safely use tools and painting equipment
