Provide one-on-one direct support to individuals with disabilities in residential and community settings. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, medical needs, and transporting clients to appointments.
Candidates must have at least two years of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities and a valid Washington State Driver's License. A high school diploma and the ability to pass a background check are required.
DSP’s are supervised by Team Coordinators. The DSP’s role is to function as a team member providing instruction and support to people with disabilities. DSP’s are expected to learn, understand and follow our policies, mission, and Person-Centered Principles and incorporate these into daily support for people with disabilities. DSP’s are responsible for supporting individuals to participate in the full range of activities that make up their life in the community, including those activities both at home and in their neighborhoods, which are necessary to establish a lifestyle in accordance with supported objectives.
