The Independent Mental Health Advocate will provide support, information, and representation to patients detained under the Mental Health Act. They will empower individuals to participate in decisions regarding their care and ensure their views are respected throughout the treatment process.
Candidates should have experience supporting vulnerable individuals and a strong understanding of advocacy principles and mental health legislation. A professional qualification such as the IAQ Level 4 in Independent Mental Health Advocacy is desirable.
