Job Summary
Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. May perform other general warehouse functions in support of operational requirements. Performs work under general supervision and handles moderately complex issues and problems.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
Accurately remove and stock product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan
Accurately select product to fill customer orders and package them properly
Load and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded
Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw
Cycle Counts
Identify, hold and segregate defective material
Complete paperwork per work instructions, when required
Perform general clean up
Inspect forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel
Participate, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements
Assist in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead
Train others when required
This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma / GED
2 to 4 years of warehousing experience - especially in Metals industry
History of consistent dependable attendance
Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet
Ability to read, write and perform basic math skills
Previous forklift certification
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions
Safety Mindset
Preferred Requirements:
Use of handheld measuring tools preferred
Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs preferred
LEAN and/or Quality Control experience preferred
