Provide technical support and design documentation for marine vessels, focusing on auxiliary systems, hydraulics, and HVAC. Lead the development of technical data packages, conduct trade studies, and evaluate ship machinery operations.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution and 3-5 years of progressive experience in marine mechanical fields. Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for a Secret security clearance.
THOR Solutions is actively seeking a highly motivated mid-level Marine Mechanical Engineer (Auxiliary) to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG)’s Ship Design Team in Baltimore, MD. An ideal candidate will have prior experience with design, optimization, and integration of marine auxiliary and piping systems, ship machinery integration, cargo handling systems, and/or weight handling systems calculations and analyses, and familiarity with U.S. Federal or commercial shipbuilding programs, standards, and regulations.
