Full job description

The Lumber Manufactory (TLM) is building the future of sustainable lumber with next-generation sawmill technology. We design and operate state-of-the-art modular sawmills that produce high-grade dimensional wood products with greater efficiency and less waste. Backed by leading investors including Cantos, Slow Ventures, Susa Ventures, Banter Capital, Humba Ventures, and Ravelin Capital.

We are seeking an IT Coordinator to support the day-to-day technology needs of our growing Seattle team. This role owns IT asset management, system administration, and provisioning, and keeps our office technology running smoothly for engineering and corporate teams. You will partner closely with our IT Infrastructure & Security Manager on cybersecurity practices, networking needs, and workflow development, while building hands-on experience across the full IT function. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career who wants to grow into broader systems and security work.

This role is based in our Philadelphia office and requires in-office presence four days per week.

In This Role, You Will

  • Manage the IT asset lifecycle, including laptop provisioning, deployment, tracking, and retirement across the organization

  • Support day-to-day system administration, including user account provisioning and access management

  • Assist with cybersecurity practices such as endpoint protection, security hygiene, and compliance support

  • Build and maintain workflow automations and IT documentation to support a growing organization

  • Troubleshoot internet, hardware, and software issues for the Seattle office

  • Partner with the IT Infrastructure & Security Manager on networking needs and escalations

  • Adapt to changing priorities and support team and operational needs as they evolve

Who You Are

  • A detail-oriented IT generalist who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting and support

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment

  • Naturally organized and able to manage multiple systems and requests at once

  • Able to translate technical concepts into practical solutions for non-technical colleagues

  • Energized by being in the office and building in-person relationships with the team

  • A collaborative teammate excited to grow within the IT function

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related role

  • Familiarity with laptop and hardware provisioning and IT asset management

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint protection and access management

  • Experience with system administration and user provisioning tools

  • Exposure to workflow or automation tools such as Slack Workflows or SharePoint automations is a plus

  • Comfortable troubleshooting network connectivity and hardware issues in an office setting

  • Ability to work in-office four days per week in Philadelphia

The expected starting annual base salary for this position is $95,000 to $105,000 USD. Our compensation and benefits package include comprehensive health coverage, life insurance, and flexible time off. The applicable annual base salary paid to a successful applicant will be determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to the nature and extent of prior experience and educational background.

We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including:

  • 100% employer-paid health coverage for employees and dependents (medical, dental, and vision)

  • 100% employer-paid life insurance and disability coverage

  • Paid time off and company holidays

  • The opportunity to help build something from the ground up in an essential, evolving industry

Join our team as we modernize timber from forest to finished product.
