Turf Grass Production Operator

Pay: $18-$20/HR based on experience

Schedule: Full-time; may include early morning starts and additional hours during peak season

Location: Bunnell, Florida

We're looking for a dependable Production Operator to help grow, and maintain our turf grass fields. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives outdoors, takes direction well, operates equipment confidently, and takes pride in a job done right.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Prepare soil and fields for turf grass cultivation
Operate and maintain farm equipment and machinery (e.g., mowers, sprayers, forklifts)
Care for property by mowing and maintaining turf fields
Irrigate turf using hand lines, wheel lines, or automated systems
Repair and maintain farm structures and equipment
Report any issues to a supervisor or higher-level employee
Perform other related duties as assigned

QualificationsQualifications

Minimum 3 months of experience in sod or turf grass production (preferred)
Familiarity with irrigation systems and farm machinery
Experience operating farming equipment is a plus
Valid driver's license and safe driving history
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 40+ lbs regularly, including pipe sections and sod rolls
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and working on uneven terrain
Outdoor, physically demanding work in heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions
Exposure to dirt, dust, chemicals, and loud machinery
May involve long hours, weekend shifts, and early morning starts during peak season
Manual dexterity to operate a variety of farm machinery and equipment
