We are currently looking for the position of Project Procurement Manager Logistics (m/f/d) within the Procurement and Logistics department at our office in Leipzig or Lauchhammer. This is a permanent, full-time role. In this role, you will report to the Head of Procurement and Logistics and be responsible for the management of procurement and logistics processes in an international project environment.
Your responsibilities
Independent procurement of goods and services with a focus on logistics services, taking into account costs, quality and deadlines
Development of project-specific logistics concepts, cost calculations and handling procedures for tender and project-based business
Management of the entire purchasing and processing workflow: tenders, comparison of quotes, negotiations, supplier selection, order processing, deadline tracking, and complaints and claims management
Coordination and monitoring of international transport and shipping processes (road, rail, air and sea freight)
Coordination of project-related delivery and time schedules, in particular to ensure on-time delivery
Negotiation of contracts, prices and payment terms, as well as the conclusion of framework agreements with logistics service providers, freight forwarders and packaging companies
Maintenance and processing of procurement-related data in SAP, including invoice verification and goods receipt postings
Conducting supplier selection, qualification, development and evaluation, as well as participating in supplier audits
Analysing global procurement markets for the product groups under your responsibility
Advising internal and external stakeholders on Incoterms, customs and tax issues, packaging, load securing and handling
Responsibility for documentation compliant with customs and letter of credit requirements, as well as monitoring customs clearance by external service providers
Your Profile
A degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or a comparable field
Several years’ professional experience in a comparable role, ideally in international mechanical and plant engineering
Substantial experience in the procurement of global logistics services and in international trade
Good knowledge of procurement and contract law, contract management, and a strong understanding of business administration
Experience in international procurement, logistics, order processing and project management
Analytical, structured and independent working style with a strong customer and service focus
Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team and high level of intercultural competence
Negotiation skills, assertiveness and resilience
Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel, Word, Outlook) and good knowledge of SAP
Good written and spoken English (B1–B2, CEFR)

Koordination und Überwachung internationaler Transport- und Versandprozesse (Straßen-, Bahn-, Luft- und Seefracht)
Koordination projektbezogener Liefer- und Zeitpläne, insbesondere zur Sicherstellung der termingerechten Anlieferung
Verhandlung von Verträgen, Preisen und Zahlungsbedingungen sowie Abschluss von Rahmenverträgen mit Logistikdienstleistern, Speditionen und Verpackungsfirmen

Verantwortung für zoll- und akkreditivkonforme Dokumentation sowie Überwachung der Zollabwicklung durch externe Dienstleister
Dein Profil
Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium im Bereich Wirtschaftswissenschaften, Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen, Logistik oder vergleichbar
Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung in einer vergleichbaren Position, idealerweise im internationalen Maschinen- und Anlagenbau
Fundierte Erfahrung im Einkauf globaler Logistikdienstleistungen sowie im internationalen Warenverkehr
