Full job description

We're leading Western Australians to their intelligent energy future.

And we want you to be part of it.

You might know us as Western Australia's largest electricity generator and energy retailer, supporting 1.2 million customers across the state.

But what you might not know, is that we’re investing in renewable energy projects, including wind farms and big batteries, to help build a more sustainable and reliable future.

Our big batteries are now live in Kwinana and Collie, we’re expanding the Warradarge Wind Farm, building the new King Rocks Wind Farm, and we have many other projects in the works.

We're a purpose-driven organisation, owned by the people of WA. Our commitment is to ensure all Western Australians have access to secure, reliable, and sustainable energy.

We believe that the benefits of renewable energy aren’t just for some, they're for everyone.

This is where you come in.

Role Description:

The Fraud Risk & Data Analytics Specialist is a newly created opportunity in our Internal Audit team based at our Perth Central Park office. This role has been established to strengthen the organisation’s use of data-driven insights in supporting fraud risk management, assurance activities, and overall governance outcomes. It sits within a collaborative and high-impact function focused on enhancing transparency, accountability, and organisational integrity.

Working at the intersection of data, risk, and assurance, the role will contribute to evolving how analytics is leveraged to identify emerging risks and improve oversight across the business. It offers exposure to a broad range of stakeholders and initiatives, providing the opportunity to influence decision-making and support a proactive, forward-looking audit approach.

As part of a growing capability, this position will play a key role in shaping and embedding analytics within the Internal Audit function. It presents an opportunity to be involved in meaningful, organisation-wide initiatives while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and trust.

Job responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver data analytics, dashboards, and continuous monitoring solutions to support audit and fraud risk activities.
  • Analyse complex datasets to identify anomalies, trends, and potential fraud indicators.
  • Support fraud prevention and detection by developing and applying data-driven risk indicators.
  • Provide analytical support to investigations, including evidence analysis and reporting insights.
  • Embed data analytics into internal audit processes to enhance planning, delivery, and continuous assurance activities.

What you will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience applying advanced analytics techniques to large and complex datasets.
  • Proven background in audit, risk, fraud, compliance, or assurance with strong understanding of controls and governance.
  • Experience developing dashboards, data analytics, or continuous monitoring solutions to support decision-making and assurance.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, practical insights for stakeholders.
