Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator - Azure to build, implement, and sustain operational capabilities within a Microsoft Azure GCC High environment. This role is focused on hands-on administration of Windows devices using Microsoft Intune, with an emphasis on security hardening and large-scale migration from on-premises infrastructure.
The selected candidate will support a significant migration effort, including onboarding approximately 1,800 endpoints, 800 servers, and supporting a large Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) footprint. Candidates at mid-to-senior level may be considered depending on experience and ability to operate independently in a build-out environment.
This is an on-site, non-remote position in our North Logan, UT location.
Key Responsibilities
Administers Windows endpoints using Microsoft Intune in a GCC High environment
Builds and maintains device configuration profiles, compliance policies, and update rings
Supports migration of on-premises devices and servers into Azure-based management
Administers and supports ~1,800 Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) instances
Manages device lifecycle processes including enrollment, configuration, and decommissioning
Remediates non-compliant devices and maintains reporting
Troubleshoots endpoint issues related to policy, patching, and connectivity
Coordinates with cybersecurity teams to ensure implementation and enforcement of compliance with CMMC requirements
Documents configurations, standards, and operational procedures
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience administering Windows endpoints in enterprise environments and a bachelor's degree, or 10+ years in lieu of a degree
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager)
Experience managing devices in Microsoft Azure environments (GCC High or Azure Government)
Strong understanding of Windows OS configuration and endpoint lifecycle management
Experience implementing endpoint hardening baselines (CIS, STIG, or similar)
Ability to troubleshoot endpoint management issues across distributed environments
Must be able to travel as needed (not a routine expectation)
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
Valid CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent) is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience administering Windows endpoints in enterprise environments and a bachelor's degree, or 15+ years in lieu of a degree
Experience working specifically within Azure GCC High environments
Experience supporting Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) at scale
Familiarity with hybrid identity environments (on-prem AD + Entra ID)
Experience with large-scale endpoint or infrastructure migration efforts
Microsoft certifications related to endpoint management or Azure
Experience working in regulated environments (CMMC, NIST, DoD)
