This role is hybrid working from our Budapest office. 

Insight on your impact:

• Prepare, review, reconcile and analyze financial statements accounts assigned to role in accordance with US GAAP and Local GAAP. Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Obtain approvals for received vendor invoices and forward to third party accounting firm for payment.
• Contact and discuss collections of past due accounts receivable balances with customers in the EMEA region.  
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with management.
• Assist with external audits and coordinate with auditors by providing required documentation.  
• Assume full accounting functions for the Hungarian local entity from third party accounting firm (future). This will include GL, AR, AP, Cash, & Financial Reporting.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.
• Participate in special projects, system implementations, and ad hoc financial analysis as needed. 

Your qualifications, your influence:

To be successful in the role, you must possess the following skills 

• Degree or Certification in Accounting or additional 3 years in active accounting role
• 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in medium to large corporate environments.
• Strong knowledge of Local GAAP, with some knowledge of US GAAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
• Strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluency in English and Hungarian, both spoken and written, for clear daily communication with global teams and partners. [1]
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
