SheMed Weight Loss is the UK’s only GLP-1 programme built for women’s health. Founded by women, for women, SheMed exists to close the gender gap in metabolic healthcare. For too long, weight loss treatments - including GLP-1 medications - have been researched, developed and prescribed without fully understanding their unique effects on women’s bodies. We are changing that. SheMed combines clinical oversight, real-world data, and personalised care to deliver a safer, smarter, more effective GLP-1 experience tailored to women. Our programme is built around hormone health, metabolic science, and the lived realities of women’s lives - not a one-size-fits-all approach. With a growing community of over 90,000 women, we are not only delivering treatment - we are generating insight. Our data-led approach deepens understanding of how GLP-1s affect appetite, hormones, energy, mood and long-term wellbeing in women. In less than a year, we have grown from launch to serving tens of thousands of women across the UK, becoming one of the fastest-growing GLP-1 programmes in the country. Following our $50M Series A funding round and achievement of unicorn status, SheMed has been recognised as a leading force in women’s health innovation - including being Highly Commended in the New Business of the Year category at the Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards. Safety is at the core of everything we do. Transparency builds trust. Personalisation defines our care. Our ambition is bold: to become the UK’s leading women’s weight care company. Because women deserve healthcare designed around them - not adapted for them.
