JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for delivering completed orders to customers. Helps process orders including: Making filters to specifications, picking products to fulfill sales orders and packaging orders for delivery or pick up. Works with other team members to ensure customer’s orders are filled efficiently, accurately and on time. Assists in receiving and checking in product, puts product away. Assists in processing UPS, FED Ex and Spee-dee shipments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Deliver completed orders to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
GOAL: Truck loaded and ready to leave the shop by 8:15am.
GOAL: Have daily deliveries completed and arrive back at shop by 3:00pm.
GOAL: Meet all delivery deadlines according to customer time frames.
(Discuss this process daily with team leader. Work together to plan safe, accurate and timely deliveries.)
Pick orders for delivery. Retrieve orders from bin and pick items on delivery copies. Verify counts and products for accuracy and stage orders for delivery.
Load truck with orders according to appropriate driving route.
Deliver orders to customers using address on delivery copies. Obtain a signature from the customer. Leave a copy with the customer for their records
Communicate any problems/issues/changes to team leader/office manager upon return to the warehouse. Place signed delivery copies in office manager’s inbox.
Receive product into stock when necessary.
Stage product for put away. Put product into primary locations. Use “Master Location” binders to find locations of product.
Process and stage UPS, FED-EX, SPEE-DEE orders for pick up or delivery.
Run Spee-Dee manifest.
Replenish primaries in Bay A and B.
GOAL: Bay B Organized and De-Cluttered. Do a daily walk through
Empty overstock pallets first before using secondary locations.
Clear floor of all loose product, organize and condense “like” product.
Clean Bay B. Sweep/mop floor at least weekly.
Perform vehicle maintenance checks twice a month and report issues to warehouse manager or team leader.
Check fluids, lights, tires, batteries, etc…
Clean inside and outside truck as needed. Pay special attention to back door.
Help in production when needed. Build special filters according to specifications. Review production sheet and cut filters. Review details to verify all cuts and measurements are correct. Place completed filters into appropriate cartons and label for the customer(s).
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of warehouse practices.
Knowledge of inventory/distribution systems.
Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Skills using construction tools such as: Table saw, tape measure, hand tools, stapler, drills etc.
Must not be afraid of heights including the use of tall ladders.
Skill in math basics enough to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement.
Skill in operating a calculator.
Ability to pay attention to details and retain information readily.
Ability to communicate verbally in a professional manner with co-workers, vendors and customers.
Ability to effectively function as a team player.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma, or general education degree (GED)
Some general warehouse experience desired.
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
