This role ensures the accurate and timely movement of materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility while maintaining compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The Logistics Manager leads and develops a team of leads and associates, driving operational efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement across all three functions. Given the classified nature of certain programs supported by the facility, the Logistics Manager also oversees the secure handling, transmission, and receipt of classified shipments in coordination with the Facility Security Officer (FSO), in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM, 32 CFR Part 117) and the applicable DD Form 254.

Key Responsibilities:

Stockroom Operations

· Oversees inventory control processes including cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation of discrepancies.

· Ensures materials and components are stored, labeled, and organized in accordance with company standards and ESD/safety requirements.

· Partners with Production and Purchasing to maintain accurate stock levels and support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

· Monitors and enforces proper handling procedures for all materials, including controlled and sensitive components.

Shipping Operations

· Oversees the preparation, packaging, and shipment of finished goods and materials to customers and suppliers.

· Ensures all outbound shipments are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements including export compliance and ITAR where applicable.

· Manages carrier relationships and coordinates freight logistics to optimize cost and delivery performance.

· Reviews and approves shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, and export documentation.

· Coordinates the preparation, packaging, and transmission of classified outbound shipments in accordance with NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), the applicable DD Form 254, and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements, including approved carriers, double-wrapping, classified addressing, and chain-of-custody documentation.

Receiving Operations

· Oversees the receipt, inspection, and processing of inbound materials and components.

· Ensures all incoming goods are verified against purchase orders, properly documented, and promptly entered into the ERP system.

· Coordinates with Quality to manage non-conforming material and return-to-vendor (RTV) processes.

· Manages the secure receipt, inspection for evidence of tampering, and accountability of classified inbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation and immediate transfer to the Facility Security Officer (FSO) or designated cleared custodian in accordance with NISPOM requirements.

· Monitors supplier delivery performance and escalates discrepancies to Purchasing as needed.

Team Leadership & Development

· Directly manages Stockroom, Shipping, and Receiving Leads and their respective teams.

· Provides coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities to team members.

· Conducts regular team meetings to communicate priorities, address issues, and reinforce standards.

· Partners with HR on staffing, onboarding, and performance management processes.

Process Improvement & Compliance

· Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and throughput across logistics functions.

· Ensures all operations are conducted in compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), ITAR, EAR, and applicable regulatory requirements.

· Maintains accurate records and supports internal and external audits as required.

· Collaborates cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing to support company goals.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

· Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

· Experience in an EMS, defense, or aerospace manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

· U.S. citizenship is required. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense personnel security clearance (Secret level or higher, as program requirements dictate). Active or current clearance is strongly preferred.

· Working knowledge of NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), DD Form 254 requirements, and approved methods for the transmission and receipt of classified material strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.

· Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. occasionally; heavier items with assistance or mechanical aid.
