The technician is responsible for performing cytopreparatory functions and handling specimens within a hospital environment. They must also manage decision-making processes and report directly to the Cytology Prep Team Leader or Supervisor.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and maintain current state licensure if applicable. One year of anatomic pathology experience is preferred but not required.
Under general supervision, the position is proficient in all of the functions required of the Assistant Cytopreparatory Technician. They are directly responsible for decision making, interacting, and reporting to the Cytology Prep Team Leader/Supervisor and/or Manager.
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.
